A self-sustaining forest with a mind of its own. Once it's settled in, it quietly recycles its own water, grows at its own pace, and asks for remarkably little in return.
Think of it as a little piece of nature happily doing its own thing.
Water Needs
Very little! A healthy closed terrarium creates its own water cycle. Water should evaporate, collect as tiny droplets on the glass, and then fall back into the soil.
Key indicator: Morning condensation that disappears throughout the day is perfectly normal.
If the glass stays heavily fogged all day, remove the lid for a few hours. If there's never any condensation and the soil appears dry, add just a tablespoon or two of water. Less is almost always more.
Light Needs
Bright, indirect light is ideal. Avoid direct sunlight, which can quickly overheat the glass and turn your beautiful woodland into a tiny greenhouse sauna.
Think: "Forest floor... not desert."
Pet Safe?
Depends on the plants inside. Each terrarium is unique, so always check the individual plants if curious pets are involved.

Q. Why is my glass foggy?
A. Usually because your terrarium is doing exactly what it's supposed to do. A little morning condensation is healthy.
Q. Do I ever need to water it?
A. Rarely. Only if the soil becomes dry and condensation disappears completely.
Q. Should I open the lid?
A. Only occasionally. If the glass stays heavily fogged all day or excess moisture builds up, remove the lid for a few hours to let it breathe.
Q. Can I put it in a sunny window?
A. No. Direct sun can quickly overheat the glass and damage the plants.
Q. Do I need to fertilize it?
A. Nope. Closed terrariums are happiest with very little interference.
